Pastor's Bio

Pastor Emily Gray was born and raised on her grandparents' farm in Sanford, North Carolina.  Her earliest teachings about Jesus Christ came as she sat upon her grandfather's knee.  She is convinced that his faithful prayers for her have had a great deal to do with who she is in Christ today.

One year after graduating from high school and now 18, Pastor Emily married her high school sweetheart, Pastor Tom Gray.  He is her best friend and says, "I love him more today than I did the day I married him."  Together they raised two beautiful daughters and have three amazing grandchildren.

Pastor Emily testifies, "Even though I had been taught about Jesus' love for me as a child, it wasn't until I became an adult that I surrendered my life to Him.  At the age of 23, I made the wisest choice of my life...to live my life according to God's will for me."

Pastors Tom and Emily were long-standing members and are credentialed ministers in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) until joining the staff at New Life in February 2013.  Pastor Emily has been involved in virtually every area of local church ministry during the past 30 years.  Her greatest passion is for kids.  "They are our future in both the physical and spiritual realms.  If they are taught how to have a close relationship with Christ as a child they can grow to be strong, secure, and mature, adult Christians," she states.  "I look forward to ministering to children and their families here at New Life and in its surrounding communities.  It excites me beyond measure to be part of all that God is doing here."

Pastor Emily also studied at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, Connecticut, where she obtained her Associate's degree in Child Development (CDA).  She has been employed in the field of early childhood education for the past 10 years while serving in bi-vocational children's ministry in a local church.  She is currently an employee of KinderCare in Carmel, Indiana.
